Stampin' Up! Stamps are high quality, deeply etched rubber stamps.
Stampin' Up! Stamps usually come in stamp sets, each set has a variety of co-ordinating images and/or sentiments.
Stampin' Up! stamps come un-mounted, which means that you adhere them to their wood block - this step is designed to save you money & also allow you to position the stamps the way that suits you.
The thing I love about Stampin' Up! stamps is that they allow me to stamp confidently.
Before Stampin' Up! my stamped images tended to blur & smear, but I found that using the Stampin' Up! stamps with the Stampin' Up! ink pads my results improved 100%.
The ink is fantastic because it's fast drying, so there's very little chance of smearing - love that!
Sometimes, when you get s new stamp set, you may find that the image isn't crisp right away - this may mean that your stamp needs conditioning.
What happens when the stamps are manufactured is that there is sometimes a residue from the machinery, so you need to remove that so that the ink can get s good "grip" on the rubber.
There's a couple of different ways to do this:
- Use an eraser to rub over the image of the stamp
- use a very fine grit sand paper to rub over the image of the stamp
Either method will remove the residue & get your stamp ready for action!
