Friends Forever Layout

Lianne & the girls from Scrapbook Studio were at the Sketchbook Retreat & I saw Lianne working on a cool layout - she said it was using the Scrapbook Studio sketch.

So I got a copy of the sketch & this is what I came up with:

These photos were taken two years ago!!

It's quite funny, before we headed of to the retreat Heidi was showing me some of her latest creations & she had scrapped these pics recently - and it just so happened that I had these copies in my mix of photos at the retreat.

There's those Bright Delight Rub-ons again LOL - would you believe I have actually only used one sheet out of the pack so far?? Pretty good aye! They go a long way.

The title comes from the Summer Love Rub-ons (out of the Spring Mini) and of course I've used the Great Friend set again & you guessed it ... Corduroy Brads, not to mention my ever-present Scallop Edge Punch...and the Walk in the Park papers.

Remember that the Spring Mini ends this month - so place your order early to make sure you don't miss out.

Bright Delight

As promised here is another layout using the Bright Delights rub-ons.

This one is of my Sweetheart - Wayne. He's so good to me, and doesn't complain too much when I'm scrapping & stamping LOL.

I love the mish mash of things going on in this layout:

There's some Ski Slope DSP, along with some Walk in The Park & a piece from the I wish Simply Scrappin' Kit - sometimes it's just fun to grab scraps from other projects to see what you can come up with.

I (like to) think that the whimsy of the Bright Delight rub-ons brings it all together LOL.

Scrapbooking with Stampin' Up!

Before I joined Stampin' Up! I used to use all sorts of products & was always looking for the latest & greatest.

But when I joined & decided to do it as a business I figured it made economic sense to use purely SU! And I'll be honest, it has taken some adjustment, but at the weekend I felt like I was hitting my stride again & it was such a great feeling.

A while back I mentioned the Bright Delights Rub-ons & how I hadn't used them much - well that all changed last weekend - check this cutie out:

I've also been trying to use up my embellishments from the Spring Mini catalogue, which expires at the end of the month - that way I have a great excuse to buy more.

So you'll be seeing lots of Corduroy Buttons & Brads, as well as the gorgeous Forest Friends stamp set - I just love all the critters in the set as well as the tree - such a cute set for $28.95 - if you like them be sure to get an order in before November 30th.

Bright Delights Rub-Ons

When I first saw the Bright Delights Rub-Ons I thought they were totally adorable, but I haven't used them quite as much as I had planned - so I grabbed the pack out this week to have a play.

When we went on holiday to Australia earlier this year I picked up some simple frames from IKEA - oh how I wish we had IKEA in New Zealand - there were talks of a store opening here in Auckland, but last  heard those plans were on hold (or scrapped).

Anyway, I'm thinking this framed mini layout would be awesome for my niece who's coming to visit at the end of the year - but I know if I give it to her Taiga will get likely have one of her moments - lucky the frame came in a two-pack & the packet of rub-ons includes two sheets - now I just need to get the photo re-printed & I'll have 2 happy girls on my hands :o)
