New In Color - Peach Parfait

I'm a big fan of Pumpkin Pie, so I didn't really see the need for another shade of orange, but this one is just right for the times when Pumpkin Pie is too hhhmmmmm what's the word?....happy?

Peach Parfait is a shade of glad vs happy if that makes sense LOL!

I've paired it with Blushing Bride in this set of gift cards, which gives it the right feel for me...quietly happy - perfect for a sleeping baby :o)

There's the Scallop Trim Border Punch again, the sweet lion from Fox & Friends is featured on the card and the lovley In Color ribbon again - delicious in every shade!

New In Color - Poppy Parade

Poppy Parade really is the bees knees! I love this shade of red for summer...it says happy, shiny, fresh & fun!

My first instinct was to match it with Pear Pizzazz - but that was too Christmassy for me - so I opted for the least likely combo for me..or perhaps the second least likely; Concord Crush being the most unlikely :o)

Turns out I needed to add some Pear Pizzazz after all :o)

Oh my goodness, there it is again...Perfect Punches & the Scallop Trim Border Punch, along with some left over Whisper White Card embossed with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder through the Big Shot.

I also whipped out an oldy but a goodie - Trendy Trees and the new Dotted Lines Jumbo Wheel.

Hmmm I'm thinking I could have used the apple from Tart & Tangy & made this into a teacher's gift for the end of the year...food for thought because these sets are so easy to whip up & the boxes only take 1/2 a sheet of A4!

New In Color - Pear Pizzazz

This one is quite close to Certainly Celery - just a little deeper...actually I just completed a baby album which used Pink Pirouette, Baja Breeze & So Saffron & Certainly Celery...I think the Pear Pizzazz would be great in a baby album...not new born, but a couple of months old - you know when they get to the roley poley stage - so cute!!

So, for this set of cards I've used the Pear Pizzazz with Concord Crush...an unlikely pairing at first thought, but I quite like how it turned out:

I have once again used the Perfect Punches Stamp Set, and you will have noticed the Scallop Trim Border Punch getting a bit of a work out too.

The "friends" was stamped using Calendar Alphabet & Numbers & cut individually & yes, the Vintage Wallpaper came out ot play as well :o)

New In Color - Blushing Bride

This new colour conjures the softness of a blushing bride, I have fallen for this colour! It's a lovely shade of pink.

I've paired it here with Pear Pizzazz for a sweet set of thank you cards.

I've used the new Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder for a textured background, some Pear Pizzazz ribbon, Thank You Kindly Stamp Set and my first choice in the Hostess Sets; Punch Potpourri.

The Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder has fast become a favourite of mine...and I really love the depth of image that the folders give - it's gorgeous!

To add a bit of colour to the background I brayered the flat side of the folder before adding the card stock - I was quite pleased with the subtle result.

The more I work with the In Colors the more I like them!

WOW! Concord Crush packs a powerful punch!

I must confess that I'm not much of a purple person...but after playing with the new In Colors this is kind of growing on me.

I've paired it here with Peach Parfait for a cute set of birthday cards with a matching box. I pulled out the super versatile Circle Circus Stamp Set as well as the new Perfect Punches Stamp Set I love that I can use my punches for even more things now!

Don't you just LOOOOVE that brithday stamp!

Mojo Birthday Card

I saw the Mojo Monday challenge this week & couldn't resist making a card for my lovely downline Bronwyn...apparently I got the day wrong, whoops!

I saw a tutorial by Beate Johns last week to make a card with a detachable book mark - I think it's a cool idea & when I saw the Mojo sketch I decided to give it a whirl.

The stamps on the front of the card are from Bitty Birthday which is on the Last Chance List.

Inside uses a stamp from this years Sale-A-Bration sets, along with the candle from Big Bold Birthday (another set on the Last Chance List).

And on the book mark I have used a sentiment from Sense of Time.

This card was super easy to make...there'll be a lot more of these being created in the future!

A Card for a Friend

I sent this card off last week to one of my lovely team mates who has just gone through surgery.

Just a simple card to let her know I'm thinking of her. I hope it brings a smile to her face.

 

I'm quite fond of this stamp set...it Playful Petals & it's on the Last Chance List  at 25% off (116332) hhmmm I think it might actually be my sister's set that somehow hasn't found its way back home yet...and may not any time soon, it's been the set I've been reaching for alot lately.

I love playing with the aqua painters & colouring in the flowers. I love how you can colour it to match any project - so fun!

Celebrating Seven Years

This week Wayne & I celebrated our seventh wedding anniversary...which is means we've now known each other for seven years & seven weeks LOL!

Yep, we got married just seven weeks after we met on our first date, which was a double date  with my sister & her hubby (who just got married last New Years Eve).

Hmm I just went looking for a recent pic of us together - no luck!

Note to self: take more pic of us together!

Anyway I made a wee card to commemorate the event & I decorated a little jar & filled it with yummy Glo Hearts...mmmmm I love them!

The card was super easy to make...the Swiss Dot embossing folder just gives it a beautiful finish & I used my retired Hugs & Kisses wheel to make the band around the jar - so cute!

Tea Party Designer Series Paper

The range of Tea Party Designer Series Papers is simply lovely!

When I first saw this paper I thought it was to "pretty" for me, but as I used it I really started to like it!

 

I made this envelope album with it and it was also used on the Easter cards that were featured in the NZ Women's Weekly a while ago:

I really like how the paper packs have a mix of large & small prints, it makes them so easy to use!
