Swipe Files

Last week I told you about how I keep track ideas off line in my sketch folder.

I also keep a swipe file on my computer for cool projects that I come across.

Have you ever found the COOLEST project & book marked the page, only to go back & never be able to find it again??

That has happened to me waaayyy to many times, so what I do now when I see a a cool project is I save it to my swipe file.

I find it easy to be organised on the computer, its so much easier to file things virtually, that to dive into the papers on my desk ;o)

Here's how I have mine organised:

I have a folder in "My Pictures" called "Swipe File"

Then I have sub folders:

Cards
Layouts
Boxes
Projects

So it's always easy to find great ideas when I'm in a pinch....and very handy on those occasions when the internet is down ;o)

I love this idea. My bookmarks folder is getting bogged down and it takes so long to go through to find a particular idea as well.
