Choo Choo into the weekend

Well today is my official Spring Mini Launch & I hope to see some of you tonight for some cocktails & craft.

This is actually my first Mini Catalogue since I've been a demonstrator & I am thrilled with it - it completely appeals to me - even the stamps sets that I didn't purchase have grown on me - the Good Cheer one in particular - it's very Coca Cola ;o)

But today I want to share with you my very favourite card of the week, it's another pop-up card...when you're on a good thing, stick to it I say LOL.

I think by now, you'd be aware that I'm a big fan of the $28.95 stamp sets because I think they're great value & also work fantastically as complimentary  images to many of the larger sets...it makes it really affordable to start this hobby & easy to continue....but if you want a 20% discount, you should talk to me about becoming a demonstrator ;o)

The Choo Choo set on it's own is GLORIOUS - what little boy isn't going to kiss his mama for getting that set?? I've gone and added the tree from Forest Friends (I use it for all my grass too) and I cracked open my Bitty Birthday set too (another $28.95 set) - another fabulous set which is great for any birthday card!!

Did I ever tell you about my first time stamping with a Stampin' Up! stamp?? It was after I signed up as a demo (but before I got my starter kit), I went around to Jacque's place to kind of figure out what I was doing & I had a play with some of her stamps - WOW!! my first impression was fabulous, literally LOL.

I was used to smooshy, smudgy impressions from acrylic stamps & paint - I went for the deliberately distressed look because I couldn't get a good impression, but since Stampin' Up! my work has really tidied up...anyway that was my digression - Stampin' Up! stamps are award winning because they give awesome, clean, crisp impressions - YAY!!!

I have to say the stamp sets from the Spring Mini are awesome value, especially since they're award winning LOL :o)
