Exciting Times!!

As you all know Sale-A-Bration comes to an end today, I feel for those who missed out on scoring a free stamps set....

But I know there's quite a few of you out there who are happy little campers with their gorgeous Sale-A-Bration sets.

My first choice for the SAB set was the Botanical Blooms - this was my first ever 2-step stamp set & I just adore it.

Last month at our team meeting I missed the swap (partly because I was unsure what to make & partly because I was disorganised...well, OK, mostly disorganised - but fortunately that's all changing, as I get more supplies I am no longer so indecisive about what to use)

But, I felt really bad not contributing - so I made my cards up a little late & sent them out to my fabulous team mates...I used my favourite set for the month....Botanical Blooms:

Actually I got a bit carried away with this card & kept on making them because I think they're so cute.

I used my other favourite stamp set - Much Appreciated.

Love the flower & thank you combo ;o)

But that's not what I'm all excited about.

You see, on March 1st - yep, tomorrow the list of retiring stamps from the current catalogue is being released.

These stamps will not be available after 31st March - in fact, they may even sell out before then, so keep your eyes peeled for the list to be posted on here tomorrow.

All of the In Colour range will also be retiring, to make way for the new range.

The other side of this exciting news is that on April 1st, the new Stampin' Up! catalogue will be released.

This will have a new set of In Colours cardstock, inks papers & accessories, along with new stamp sets & who knows what else.

That's the exciting part - it's all a mystery as to what will be contained in the new catalogue - the suspense is driving me crazy!!!

I can hardly wait to share with you all the exciting new goodies.

Mojo Monday #75

Well, I left my camera at Mum & Dad's before heading up north last weekend to my Nana's 80th, then I asked my sister to pick it up on the way home (cos she was stopping in) & she did - but I haven't caught up with her to get my camera back.

In the mean time I planned to use Taigy's camera that she got for Xmas, but when I went to take a pic - the batteries were flat.

And that, my friend is why this Mojo Monday is being posted on Thursday ;o)

I opted out of the additional embelly - good golly it was a challenge just getting all those layers on there.

I'm not a very layerish kind of gal - 1 or two suits me just fine - 1 have 9 different layers on this card - WOW!

The links work fine for me, so I haven't changed them - but hopefully this small addition will help everyone to view them.

Mojo Monday #74

I found this weeks sketch to be quite challenging - I guess that's the point - right?

I played with a few ideas - dug around my off-cuts box & came up with this:

I must say I'm quite enjoying these challenges - they motivate me :o)

Color Inspiration #41

I was finally organised enough to participate in this week's color inspiration challenge - it's been on my "want to do" list for quite some time.

I don't have any riding hood red - so I have used Real Red instead & I'm quite pleased with the result, well quite pleased that I have a surprise valentine card ready for tomorrow ;o)

I was chatting to my team mate Hannah the other day & she said that she always stamps on the inside of her cards - I had never thought of this - for dark cards I would just write with a white pen - but I quite like the idea of an extra bit of stamping on the inside of the card - so I gave it a whirl & I think I'm hooked. It gives such a lovely finish - thanks Hannah!

The blank white strip on the front of the card is screaming at me for some decoration, but I'm telling it to hush for now - I tried several ideas, but none of them panned out.

But I have ideas up my sleeve for the next time I'm faced with a loud white strip :o)

Mojo Monday #73

I saw the Mojo Monday sketch earlier this week & I actually sat down & did it - twice LOL - the first attempt didn't quite cut the mustard ;o)

So here is what I came up with for my 2nd attempt:

It's pretty simple, but I wanted to have a play with the Sale-A-Bration Botanical Blooms & heat embossing - I really like how they turned out. I used an aqua brush to colour the flowers.

A Busy Weekend

Well I had a wonderful day at our Extravaganza yesterday!

It was so lovely to get to know my team mates a little better and to see ladies all the gather together & have fun sharing this craft we love - just fabulous!!

I'm loving this set - its so beautiful - get a load of that red heart - how gorgeous is that!!

You should hear Wayne go on about it - even HE loves it - that card is his favourite. I'm sure he's got his eye on it for Valentine's Day...gosh I could even use it for our anniversary...hmmm I might surprise him in June LOL

As you can see I'm still in the midst of my ribbon obsession...oh, I think I spot ONE card without it - how did that happen?? LOL

And I have fallen in love with the Stampin' Around wheels - can you see the kisses wheel on 3 of the cards??

The other one has the jumbo So Swirly Stampin' Around wheel - wheels & ribbons...I can see this obsession lasting a while ;o)

My pics have been coming out a little blurry lately - maybe I need a new lens???

I have also been creating more layouts -so I'll be back tomorrow to share those :o)
