Anyway yesterday I was meant to share another set with you - but I got completely side-tracked, but today I'm back on track, and I'll be sharing the Yummy set...actually I've only done one thing with it - so I might share some more later on as well.

So here's what the set looks like:

And seeing as I started to scrap again I'm on a little bit of a roll - so I created a framed LO (layout).

The pic was taken back when Taigy & Lexi (my granddaughter) were just little teeny tots - soooo cute!!! For Wayne's 50th (back in July) I mounted a heap of photos onto canvases thinking I'll scrap them after the event (this was one of them).....and well 6 months later I'm finally getting around to it LOL.

I love how this turned out though - to create the journaling frame I just took the "Yummy" stamp & used my Stampin' Write marker to colour the frame - then a little huff & puff to moisten (breathe on the stamp) & voila you get just the frame - makes this set of stamps so versatile!!

She Scraps!

Oh my goodness!! I finally created a LO (layout)!!

I haven't scrapped since early November - now, for those that know me this is a LOOOOOOOONG time!

So I'm easing myself back into the groove :o)

Here's my first LO of 2009.

I'm just like Lisa - can't get enough of the paper rolling after Nic's class at the retreat - I paper rolled before, but you know how if someone else shows you something, you feel like you're doing it "right"? Yeah, well now I feel like I'm a qualified paper roller ;o)

I've used:
CS: Wild Wasabi (from Winter Bright Kit)
DSP: Bali Breeze
Alpha: Schoolbook Serif, Alphabits, Everyday Flexible Phrases (for the "&")
Embellishment: Flower Fusion, Earth Elements brads

Now, I need to share with you what serious value the DSP (designer series paper) is. It comes in a set of 12x12 papers & in each set you get 12 sheets: 6 designs, 2 sheets of each AND they are double sided papers...did I mention that the set is only $13.95?? Yes, $13,95 for 12 sheets of double-sided paper.

Big Bold Birthday

Well I have been trying to keep myself busy while waiting for the courier to arrive with another parcel ;o)

So I thought I'd share my Big Bold Birthday creations with you.

I love this set because its so cute & let's face it we all need to have birthday cards on hand for nieces/nephews & friends.

I'm quite enjoying the bold brights & the happy feel of these, but i wouldn't mind giving them a try with some of the softer/richer colours to see the effect - just have to wait til I've built up my stash a bit :o)

The orange card is my attempt at "CASEing" the example in the catalogue - I don't have the jumbo wheel (yet) so I used one of the other stamps in the set to create the background - I quite like those circles :o)

Right, time to get creative with lunch ideas - I dare not duck down to Countdown for fear of missing the courier - I waited ALL day yesterday & quickly ducked out for 30mins around 3 yesterday & SURE ENOUGH when I got home there was a card saying the courier had been but couldn't deliver because I wasn't home...well, not today my friend - today I'm staying PUT! LOL

More Lovely Labels

It didn't seem right that the other stamps in the Lovely Labels set didn't get featured, so I got them out to play with and added them to the pics :o)

When I ordered my starter kit I also order the Stampin' Memories Add-on, so I got to choose a Simply Scrappin' kit - again I could customise, so I chose the Winter Bright kit which came with 6 sheets of double-sided paper (3 designs, 2 sheets of each), 6 Sheets of self-adhesive die cuts (again 3 designs, 2 sheets of each) & 8 sheets of textured cardstock (4 colours, 2 sheets of each)

So, the papers you see in the pics are from the Winter Bright kit.

So, you can see I made a box for each label - I thought a dummy would be quite cute to go in the "baby" box.

 
And here's the set again used on cards & a bag topper.

I think the set is very versatile & great value at just $28.95, it can be found on page 120 of the Idea Book & Catalogue.

Ahhhh now I can relax & tonight I will sleep peacefully knowing that all 4 stamps shared the spotlight LOL.

YES!!!!!!

My Starter Kit has arrived & I have been busy playing!

It's soooooo exciting!!!

I customized my kit to suit me - loved that I could do that!!

So far I've had a wee play with Lovely Labels & Big Bold Birthday...haven't photographed the Big Bold Birthday goodies yet though.

So here's my very first Stampin' Up! share:

I made a couple of origami boxes & filled them with Hersheys Kisses & I've been putting the ribbon that Jacque gave us for Christmas to good use :o)

I am absolutely LOVING the Stampin' Mist & Stampin' Scrub, it makes such a nice change to clean your stamps "properly" after stamping. I can even trust Taiga to clean the stamps after stamping because it's fun for her LOL, we had a lovely play together last night.

Anticipation

Well, it's official!!

I am a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator - I got my ID the other day & now I'm eagerly awaiting the arrival of my starter kit.

The anticipation is more exciting than Christmas :o)

While I've been waiting I have added some page to my blog - you can see them listed on the left: about me, workshops, specials & catalogues and I have also added a sign-up box so that you can receive my Newsletter.

I can't wait to tear that box open & get started!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!

Welcome to 2009 :o)

Oh, I can just feel that this is going to be a GREAT year!!

We didn't manage to stay up last night to ring in the new year, but we did have a fabulous day today. Isn't the weather just GORGEOUS!!!!

We headed over to Mum & Dad's for a delicious lunch, then cracked out a game of cashflow cos it was too hot out in the sun LOL

Such a cool game!!

Yesterday Wayne & I went looking at a couple of houses to rent, because its high time we moved out of here & man I am so keen to move!!

In the spirit of fresh starts & moving I purged some of my scrapstash & have it listed on trademe - it  feels good to purge :o)

And while I was on a roll I remembered to take some pics of my Dinner Planner - still a work in progress:
Needs a bit of tweaking - but like I said, this is #1, so by number 8 I'm sure we'll see some improvement :o)

Hope you had a fantastic New Year's Eve & have thoroughly enjoyed this gorgeous day  - what a great way to start an exciting new year.
